Not to poke at you personally, but if your parents are here illegaly, they already are criminals. Whether they're working or not has nothing at all to do with that. It doesn't mean that they're otherwise bad people, but if they've done something wrong then they should take responsibility for it.
Why do people keep trying to cloud this issue with someone's work ethic? It's totally irrelevant.
