There's different opinions on what's the best way to do it. I was a competitve bodybuilder in my teens. NPC Teen competitions and all. I've been lifting for 14 years now. I never stopped but of course I had to slow down a little when work became serious. I have made better gains taking my time in between sets and focusing on form during.
In between reps taking time out and doing some deep myofascial stretching on the muscle group you are working will take you a little further than racing back for another set. Blasting a muscle is not a race. When it is over you know if you have effectively blasted a muscle.
