I don't see why he is a loser. If he paid more bills you all would say I'm a gold digger, but if I pay more than he is a "loser". Ideally both would pay half, but I happen to make more than him, not because I'm smarter, or more hard-working, but just because it's easier for me to make money on-line than it is for most people to make it in the real world. If I had to work in the "real-world" and look for a 9-5 there is no way I would make what I do selling porn.

Usually in a relationship whoever makes more pays a bit more because it's more proportionate to their income. It's not fair to ask someone to pay half if it's half of their income when for the other person it's less than 1/10th. Not everyone wants to sell porn on-line or make easy money, so why judge someone because they make less? There are noble professions out there that pay low such as teachers, for example, even though they contribute a lot to society. Some people chose certain jobs that don't pay high because they enjoy their jobs or because their passionate about something, such as artists for example. Why call him a loser because his girlfriend makes more?

I thought a persons character was defined more than just money.

Anyways, he's just joking about bragging about the car, he is not actually going to DO that, it was a joke.
