Want a good security plan, you have to look at it like its an onion, layers of upon layers of security. Not saying this has to cost umpteen thousands of dollars, you can install dummy cameras, buy a loud loveable mutt with an authorative sounding bark, place armed response signs in the yard, cut your bushes down, and install lighting behind them (
casting shadows on your house if anyone is snooping around), and buy a shotgun and learn how to use it.
This would work for about 90% of homeowners, if you are think you are in that 10% that needs more security, asking a bunch of webmasters and surfers isn't going to get you the advice you really need. IMHO.
