Funny you posted this.... because about 12 years ago I did this very thing..... I had the opportunity to try cocain. I did want to know what the huge fuss was all about, so I went ahead and tried it one night. I remember thinking "it really puts you on your game" while out at the bar that night.
About 6 months after that I had occasion to try it one more time. Since the memory of what it was like had faded some, I tried it that second time. Basically a repeat of the previous time, and that was enough for me.
Although I can definitely see how some people would get hooked on it (and why), I'm just not the addictive type I guess. I get bored with stuff fast, not to mention the fact that doing coke regularly is a damn expensive habit. One guy I used to be friends with had a $1500 a day addiction going. No thanks.
At least I can now say I have tried it and know a bit about what it's like.
You just have to be in control of your own mind if you're going to try it. Don't want to get hooked? Then don't. Try it the once to see what it's like and then never bother with it again. Simple as that.
You're either in control of your decision-making process or you aren't.
