Losing pets, especially cats and dogs with their bubbly unique personalities, is like losing children.
Definitely one of the very hardest things in life to come to terms with.
You pretty much have to just accept the fact that at best we get to spend 10 to 15 years with them and that is all we are blessed with.
So you appreciate and enjoy every great moment together and then have the pictures, movies, and loving memories in your heart that will be yours forever to keep and cherish.
It really helps to put lots of pics all over your home when they pass on. It eases the pain inside by sensing the presence of their spirit through their images.
And having had so many great cats and dogs over my years, and some strange interesting experiences after they passed on, I'm thoroughly convinced now there is a continuity of their energy after death. And that provides comforting thoughts as well.
