Hi all:

We have around 20 servers in both the United States and Europe, some Plesk, some cPanel, one DirectAdmin, and one Confixx. As for add-on programs there is "Fantastico" that is a popular script installer with cPanel. But there also is Installatron that also works with cPanel or DirectAdmin ... both have roughly the same number of add-on programs. So, if just looking at add-on programs there is no big difference, all depends what your host decided to install (other than the basic packages).
Over the years cPanel has clearly proven to be the best hosting interface, in pretty much every respect I can think of other than security ... it gets more often hacked than Plesk and the others. However, accounts are also easier to backup and restore. So, if you want least headache, go with cPanel, and if you need one specific add-on program that you like to have an easy installer for, then look at the list of add-on programs the host offers.
Ours are here: 123-web-host.com and 123-web-host-reseller.com.

Cheers,
John
