Just when I thought you guys were a bunch of scumbags, this thread restores my faith in the GFY community.
I've had both Rott and a Pit. I'd go with the Pit, short hair is a blessing after you've lived with a rottweiler!
Either way, you shouldn't try to "train them to attack" at all. Either will act in defense of it's family and the last thing you want to do is teach a pit bull aggression, they have plenty. If anything you want to teach a pit the opposite, make your goal to teach him to be gentle - bonding is very important with a pit. You need him to love you and your family.
Also no one's going to fuck around a house with either dog.
