I think his doctors, if he ever see's any, tellhim he's nuts (no pun intended) but what can they do? If someone wants to destroy themselves they can only tell them what's good or not so good to do and what may or may not happen from doing it.
I would think that he would have some sort of reaction to all silicone like when breast implants were brand new and women starting getting sick all the time from it being in their system. Unless the silicone has change something about itself siince then?
