Hey will, I think you need to step away from GFY once or twice a week. I have been working down there since Oct 15th. I work in 2 places, 1 being New Orleans with Phillip and Jordan and I also work down in Venice.
I would like to invite you to come with me one day. I'm guessing you just drive around and don't look into situations. People need everything even though its six months later people need everything you can think of. Water well there is tons of bottled water around. But generators are still a big thing. One if you read my site we are helping commercial and sport fishermen down here. Most all boats run generators and fuel. Fuel is not always available down there. Harts exxon closes some days and also has run out of fuel many times.
Just because a trailer comes from FEMA it does not mean you will get a meter for weeks so you can get the keys.
A group from Sportfishermen.com came down a week or so ago with chain saws, tools, 3 campers, and shit loads of supplies. We raised enough money to fix a families boat so they will be shrimping for the may season and earning money for their family.
You really need to wake up man there are tons of great people out there and they can use any help that comes to them.
Now I would love to meet you if your down in buras or boothvilles or venice or hell I'm also up around the nineth ward a few days a week.
If you want to help me why dont you come run some heavy equipment with me.
Over the last 5 days I have demolished 30 plus homes down there for free so people could get trailers on their land by may season. I have 150 more homes to do starting next wednesday when I get back in town. I will show you first hand why alot of supplies can help. Also I would love to get some more help with cleaning up properties. I supply all the equipment and fuel out of my own pocket. Figure this: 30 homes helped most likely 60 to 100 people get a chance to move back onto there land and any of the supplies listed above will help them get rolling.
I wish you well man. And hey I must say I donated thousands to any porn people who needed help over the years and I must say I have found out that 4 years of porn and millions of dollars pushed around to so called friends and only 3 of the people I have meet over 4 years had the kindness to check in on me. To all those that acted like my friend for years to get traffic and money GO FUCK YOURSELVES

To anyone that does care and wants to help please contact me all money and supplies donated goes 100% to the people and projects down there.
Peace out
John

I think it is great what you are doing but you dont know me, o don't tell me to wake up or step away from the computer. I spend more time out in the field then i do online. Not too mention I rode out the hurricane, i was without electricity for 30 days, i lost houses, family lost houses in the hurricane. I was in Buras last week with my crew all day, I have made several trips down the river. I know what it looks like down there. My company has also delivered a couple thousand fema trailers across southeast louisiana. I have a crew working in the ninthward right now. I have been here since the day it hit. I know what is going on, I am not just visiting. And i have donated thousands, particularly toys for kids before christmas. Please don't preach to me or start a pissing war with me over this, like i said i think you doing a good thing, but what the people really need are the things i mentioned. Sure you can find a few cases here and t here where some people might need a few things on your list but the majority don't need anti-diarrhea medicine or a lot of the stuff that is on your list.

The people who are down there are tough and are down there because they want to be. Fema has provided temp. housing, fema trailers, rental assistance, hotel rooms, etc... people have a place to go if they want to. The particular breed (those in the seafood industry) are tough, and are down there roughing it to get their business going. If you want to help them buy some seafood from them, don't donate a pair of Tweezers. Or go down their and volunteer to help them, physically rebuild. they could use a hand, not a roll of duct tape. But I guess something is better then nothing, the items i mentioned are the best things people can do to help.
