The same thing was happening back then but stuff like this wasn't sensationalized in the same way then as it is now. Topics like sex was much more hush hush. So even the kids that were getting it on with your hot science teacher probably were also less likely to tell mommy and daddy about it and expose her because sex talk wasn't allowed in the home.
