Contract or no contract, there is something called fair market price. If your bound to a 50,000$ contract now and are thinking of changing to a $700/month commitment you have serious mental problems for not coming up with this absolutely stupefying idea earlier!
Why switch? Seems like your making those 50K payments and the bandwidth your using now is premium cuz your always up, otherwise you'd have bailed. All in all I'd say you got yourself a great deal and stick with your current provider.
