Hurt a thousand times.....until I met my match.
Someone who could lead when I needed to follow and follow when I needed to lead. Very supportive, very loving, very crazy, and once all is done, we giggle ourselves to sleep. Considering I refused to date anyone less than 5 years older than me, this relationship was really a miracle (he's 5 years younger - very handsome & intelligent). We met on the internet & I didn't know what he looked like until he arrived at the airport 6 months into our *net dating*. We married 3 months later in his country and have been married for 3 years.
So now I'm convinced - whatever you are looking for in a partner - FORGET it, recondition yourself to analyse everyone and perhaps see them as a potential life partner. Whatever you were looking for before hasn't worked for you, right? Obviously, if it doesn't work - change the direction - keep your options open - once you stop looking, you will find that opportunities come like a windfall. Don't discard someone because she/he doesn't fit your prior credentials and you will be pleasantly surprised!
