I have been asked a number of times at one club I used to go to. But no, I do not buy them. I am not rude about it, I just decline.

I am not "drink maaaaaaaaaaaaaan" from the comedy central skit.

Plus most of those asking for you to buy them a drink are not interested, or going to give you the number. Which pretty much negates the whole rationale.
