A good digital camera is subjective. One person may think it's good and someone else may think it's a piece of shit. A good digital camera is the camera that I use: Canon 1D Mark II. In fact, the reason I use them is because they are "good". Of course, I use my cameras a lot and I need something that'll hold up but not everybody has the same needs that I have. Check out
DPreview.com for reviews on digital cameras. Maybe some others can give you some input about the Rebel, I've never used one.
