It's probably the safest place I've ever been. There is 0 crime there. No Islamic fundementalists, and it's all about business. It's tax free if you setup a biz there. All the major corporations have a full fledged outpost there including the major tech companies.
There's money to be made definitely and lots of investment money to be found. The only important thing to rememeber before you go is that if you want their money it's easy to get, but you have to provide a service or product that can either benefit the people there or their economy. Anything that doesn't do one or the other will take a long time to go through the process.
I use a very large consulting firm to research and put together plans for me. They are constantly telling me about other clients that they have that do business over there. They wonder how I am able to cut through the red tape since the other clients deals take on average 12 months to close.
If you are going over there think big and consider how your big plan can benefit them on a local level. But definitely think big because they don't respond well to small. Just look at the country for an example of that. They are building replicas of the friggin world in the sea! LOL
