$ 10,000 Design work needed!

You will never ever see this from me, since I am not a big paysite/ars owner. But since I now have you attention, I will tell you how to get a job like that.

1, When Paysite Owners/ARS Owners advertise for a Designer they will normally tell you.
a, what the design is
b, how to contact them via ICQ or E-Mail.
c, what their expected turn-around time is.
d, how they are planning on paying you.

First you should E-Mail the Paysite/ARS Owner, because by now he is being flodded with ICQ's

Dear "Paysite owner with lots of money"

I have read your "Designer wanted" ad on GFY. My name is Joe Blow from ABD Design and you may view my Portfolio at geocities.com/blahblah.

My turn-around time is 1 hour.

I do accept all forms of payment, XYCPal however is my prefered method of payment. I require a xyc% in advance payment. The rest is due on Design delivery.

Should you choose me as the designer of you site I would like to offer you a 10% discount if you would display my Design Company on your site (It does not have to be linked, just my company name ABD Design dot com would be fine)

I will also try to establish contact with you via ICQ/AIM my screen name there is Moron 123456.

Once I start you design work you will also receive my telephone number so we can discuss details further via phone, if you should choose so.

Sincerely
Joe Blow

Once you wrote that email, than follow up with ICQ. Since the Paysite/AVS Owner probably does not have you on his ICQ, its always a good idea to tell him/her who you are.

ICQ -- Hello my name is Joe Blow from ABD Design, I emailed you regarding your design work on GFY

Than we have a general idea who you are, and won't blow you off.
------------------------------------

If the Paysite/AVS Owner would like for you to give him a price, don't sell yourself cheap. I have paid anywhere from 150 and way up for splash pages.

Make sure your spell check is on (I rather not hire anybody who cannot spell, because my spelling sucks)

Don't try to pity us! So youre new, so what! I hired kids in Highschool with portfolios on Geocity. I loved their design, thats all what matters.

When you get a rejection e-mail, do not email back saying "GFY" your sites suck anyway! Just because we didn't hire you the first time around doesn't mean we won't hire you the next time.

Try to use upper and lower case lettering.

At the end of the year most company accountants will send out a 1099 for any amount over $ 500.00 to you. Once you got the job you might also want to include a Mailing Address.

----------------------------------------

You can take or leave my advice to getting a job for design work. I just thought I would make it a bit easier for younger / non-experienced business Owners to get their work out there.
