I should think unless they have multiple sites to promote then you want to get the surfer there as soon as possible before they lose interest. Why burn *your* BW unless their tour s*cks and in THAT case then the retention will be bad since most reallllllly bad tours indicate a bad member area. (on established sites)

So use the sponsor tour if possible.
