i pay $149.95 for 4gig download 1.5mbps down and 256kbps up Uploads are not tracked for bw and after 12midnight till 7am all bandwidth is free as in i can download movies and shit with no limits or using any of my quota which is good cause i mainly work at night lol
also if ya go over the 4gig limit your dsl just goes to a 56kbps speed so you have no nasty per meg prices but the nite time is still full speed and free so i'm all happy
sp stop ya bitching about telstra and move already iinet kick ass
oh plus ya get a free national dial up to use if adsl goes down which is awesome..

As far is immigration is concerned, it depends upon your age, etc -but just so long as you apply properly rather than coming in on a boat you should be fine.
Bring over about $600,000 USD if you want a relatively nice house/apartment in Melbourne - or about 1 mill USD if you're looking for something nicer. Sydney is more expensive.
