The amount is subjective, of course. And its based more on fetish/niche content than mainstream (fetish generally being more costly to produce than mainstream).
It all comes down to how much of the farm you're willing to part with on launch day. If you have a massive reserve for future updates, then a higher quantity on opening day wouldn't be bad.
Practically any idiot can assemble enough content to launch - its those who can regularly update for years that survive the longhaul.
