That's a ticket I'd just pay.

A couple of weeks ago though, I got a ticket for parking on a street for 48 hours. It's the street directly in front of my house, so it's pretty much a bullshit law to keep derelict vehicles away. Granted we don't move the car much because it's our secondary vehicle, but it's a residential neighborhood, doesn't bother anyone and it's got plates.

Regardless, we got a ticket. Upon closer inspection, the ticket said it was chalked at 1:30 am on the 17th and TICKETED at 2:40 pm on the 17th.

I just went in to city hall and said I don't want to pay this ticket. She laughed and said noone WANTS to pay their tickets.

When I pointed out that the law is 48 hours, and the time between chalking and the actual ticket was only about 12 hours, she told me it looks like they fucked up and tore up the ticket. I would have fought that one no matter the cost, if for no other reason than to point out a stupid law.
