This has been an informative thread for me.
It seems that it can be summarized by saying that Strongbox is installed
per site, while Proxypass is per server. Strongbox is a one time fee of $100
(or less) per site, while Proxypass keeps billing you. Strongbox may be a
bit more effective, but Proxypass may answer customer support emails a
bit faster. Strongbox has some features that may be important to some people,
but not so important to most, like the "secure handoff" or "single sign on" system,
as well as supporting a wider range of password list formats. If you want those
features or think you may want them in the future, Strongbox is for you, but if you
don't plan on having any use for some of the extended features ProxyPass
may be a good option.
This highlights the fact that I need to hire a new customer support person to work
in my office under my direct supervision immediately.
