I think Norway just pipped Australia for the highest standard of living in the world last year ( this takes into consideration such factors as access to child care, education, lifestyle ( weather/beaches/food/entertainment ) etc etc and not just money and access to nuclear weapons), so you might want to swim across that pond that separates your two countries ;)
Seriously, there are many choices in Australia. You should come out as a visitor first. I've met many Swedish backpackers ( of the female variety

) out here, and they love the country. I hear Aussie girls love Swedish guys. I live in Sydney. It is a beautiful city with many fantastic features, however it is now one of the most expensive cities in the world to live. I'm thinking of a life style change and buying a farm ( about 600 ha ) north of Sydney - I can be on cable there, so I wouldn't worry about cable access.
