What makes you so certain I am not really a liberal? If you mean that I'm willing to take a fishhook through my cheek to protect the poor fishies like the PETA freaks, or believe that you can negotiate with people who fly airplanes into buildings, nope - I guess I don't qualify as a liberal in your little mind. Unfortunately, the lines arent' so clear-cut to me - I don't buy into any party line.
Many of the conservat;ives I know are quite compassionate, but IMHO the political use of the phrase is a so-far successful effort to put control of some social programs in the hands of the religious right.
And as for national socialists? Oh, I think I'd recognize a national socialist if I heard one.
