You can't open it. It's all one solid piece that's sealed to the counter top, almost like a thin plexiglas, or something. If I take the little eye cap things off, I can shine a flashlight in there and see some kind of metal box that I think the starter thing is in.
I have no idea how to get to it, though. I think the whole top will have to be pried up from the granite.
On a positive note, someone already hit me up and told me that there is a plug that leads down from the bottom of it and just plugs in under the counter. I had to remove a shit load of pots and pans, but there it was on the very bottom shelf. I never even knew it was down there. I've unplugged it and at least the damn clicking has stopped. I'll probably just go buy a new cooktop tomorrow, even though this one is only a few years old, lol.
