What scares me is the fact there are places where you will be able to use your bank card, li nk you do at a store, to buy things online.
Problem is that when you use your Bank card you dont have the protection of doing chargebacks or anything along those lines to protect yourself incase some cracker does get it.

i've heard this before but i've never actually seen proof? everything i've seen says that if you have a card with the visa/mastercard logo on it, you can call your bank and dispute charges.

there it is right there. mastercard-branded card. doesn't say anything about it having to be a *credit* card.
and actually, i know this isn't the case. i just called my bank the other day because some receipts were stolen (bad me). they asked me if any of a list of charges were legit. they all were, but why would they ask if they weren't gonna take 'em off?
i think this is urban legend or something.
