2006 should be one of the better seasons in F1 for many reasons.
First off, there are more cars on the grid. Nothing helps auto racing like "MORE CARS". The Super Aguri cars are a joke (2002 Arrows A23's with new body work), but their actual real car will come in a few races and they should be solidly in the second tier as a result.
The second tier is actually closer to the front this year as well. With the takeover of Sauber by BMW and Toro Rosso (red bull B team) taking over for Minardi, it is all looking up. Any of these second tier teams has a solid chance to pick up points at any event.
There are also near about 10 cars that could win a race, depending on circumstances. It is a really great thing to see so many cars and teams in the hunt even from race 1, and that is a very positive sign for the season.
I'll be up at 6AM enjoying the show (I have been up for two mornings already watching practice and qualifying)... it's all good.
