Absolutely. It's all about marketing. When it comes down to it, it doesn't matter how good the content if what you're presenting up front is shabby. You're personal click through ratio is going to suck and you're not going to convert.
I like to put a moderate amount of effort into my appearance, enough to grab their attention (being 6'4" makes it even easier) then I lay my pre-prepared bullshit lines that actually make it sound like I'm interested in what they have to say. From there it's all gravy.
The one difference is that I started to date this amazing girl who I had absolutely no need to artificially impress. She's outside the two standard deviations from the mean
