You've made a good point there, I didn't think it all the way. While an attractive woman in a corporate environment has a better opportunity to advance than her attractive/unattractive counterparts there is a limit to which she till succeed. The best recent example is Carly Fiorina. As head of one of the largest corporations in the world she was paid far lower than ANY of her male counterparts and when there was one bad decision on her part then they turfed her.
In everyday life I can't speak to what you go through since (I'm assuming you're American) we live in different cultures. What I can say is that I noticed there is a far stronger religious segment in your country which seems to translate to an adherance to traditional values/roles. You don't see what you described much in Canada but I will point out that as a Canadian woman you can expect to make less and hold a lower position than you're American counterpart.
Wow, I'm doing way too much typing. I'm going to get a beer.
