No one really knows what causes MS, but the evidence does suggest a virus. The article fails to mention there is a link between MS and chicken pox. Everyone that has MS has had chicken pox.
Chicken pox is common, (98% of the pop get it sometime in their life) but statistically there should be a few people with MS who haven't had it if it wasn't a factor.
MS is an autoimmune disease. It's the person's body attacking itself. The better theories of it's cause are related to rare fuck ups of the body's immune response to chicken pox... what's missing is why. Possibly a combination of viruses, genetic predisposition, or other environmental factors. Who knows, maybe in combination with a STD?
