Not at all. It begs the question: what's a good brand worth?
I specialize in branding, and I have seen brandable names sell between $30,000 up to $110,000. Yes, all the way up there.
Actually, I know of one guy who sold a brandable name (without traffic) for $50,000 --but the acquirer would have paid, and had authorized, up to $250,000 to acquire it. The seller had no clue. The buyer wanted to sell a product by that name. The seller left $200,000 on the table.
So, you have willing buyers for such brandable names all the way up to $250,000. There are probably a lot more examples of even higher ones.
We believe that [CaliforniaCoeds.com] would make a great marketable site that would make hundreds of thousands of dollars in profit. That has value. That makes "mid five figures" look like a good buy.
