This is where I'm picturing his question in relation to the inside/memberarea of a site.
If that is the case, still more is better imo, to give them a feel of a deeper more content laden site. However, don't make it tough to navigate by any means.
However, bottom line is, get surfer to the hot spantastic material as fast as possible, don't jerk them around, let them do that themselves.
