Whether that's accurate or not, I can't say since the manager of our local Wal-Mart hasn't returned my calls. http://www.youareworthmore.org/node/8444 lists it at $89k. My father was store manager for a local lumber chain years ago and his salary peaked at significantly less than that.

But if true, I'm sure they can afford to pay store manager's plump salaries because:
