In the beginning, I think we thought the Web was a simple *mimic* of paper publishing. It utilized a medium that, like Radio and TV, rendered less substantial *versions* of things, in exchange for wider, faster distribution.
But, now that the *true* Repositories of our Human Record are looking to be in digital form, we (Webmasters) can no longer belittle our role in the writing of that Human Record.
I was just curious what measures, if any, y'all took to set your shit up for like the looooooooooong term. Has anybody thought about things like Server Insurance, which covers your hosting costs after you die -
But seriously, do y'all ever think about the *future* like that, when you upload, or is it always the pressures of the momentary buck?
