Of course you are ignoring the fact that when it comes right down to it Russia and China don't want the current nutjobs running Iran to have nuclear weapons either. TOO MUCH radical instability in Iran is bad for Russia and China too. So your statement that "the US will have to sit quietly in the corner and look how Iran will build some nice nukes" is a gross exageration.
