Difference is the presentation - if you're promoting the 'low trial' it's not going to retain as well - if you're promoting the values of the site & the benefits of membership, it's different. Also, you have to have the patience to wait for the rebills to grow - if you're looking for fast cash (which is generally the case of the 'new guy in the industry'), this is not the option.
I've seen differences of up to 24% less on PPS as opposed to Revshare (had they chosen revshare) but these people work far more hours than 9-5 anywhere else & they are the exceptions of the industry. Very good exceptions I may add

Revshare may be good for free listings but hard for people who buy shitloads of traffic. Waiting months and months to make my profit back is out of the question.
