But, we all know that science, facts and logical thought have no place in conspiracy theory. It is entertainment for the simple mind - an escape from unflappable, boring reality... an inability to think objectively and seperate emotion from reason. Quite simply, conspiracy theory is romantic.. it satiates fundamental human desires.

The same thing can be said in reverse. Just replace "because it's posted online" with "because the government said so".
