Have any of you had "complex migraines?"

I took my 14 year old son to the ER today after the school nurse called saying he had lost vision in one eye, his blood pressure was up and he was dizzy, "cold & clammy." After some tests and examining his CT Scan, they told me he had a complex migraine. His vision is back now and he feels well, but I don't know anyone that's ever had these. I'm relieved that he didn't have a stroke or a tumor, but still very concerned for his well-being.

I'm curious to know if any of you have had them. If so... did they occur often? Has it been an ongoing problem or did they stop happening at some point? Any words of advice? He'll be going to a Neurologist in a couple of days, but for now, I'd like to hear from anyone who's experienced these.
