I do lots of walking on a daily basis too...
I walk to the gym in the morning (about 1/2 mile from my home)
I walk from the gym to the Skytrain station (about 1/2 mile from the gym) to take public transportation for my daily commute (about 1/2 mile of walking by the time I make it home at the end of the day)
I walk to do my grocery shopping
Walking is great. Not only do I get exercise, it's also a time for my mind to chill out and relax while taking in the view.
