Great questions! And thanks for the praise. In the studies I've done, most men say they don't read fiction, but I find it hard to believe that only women are grabbing up all the stuff that's out there. Certainly, stories are a way to get the female market to your site. We love stories! Good ones, though, not just a string of four letter words (which is another whole can of worms). Oddly, most of my commission work has been for men - and the story I wrote for the Best New Erotica anthology was a "man's" story as well, so I know they're out there.

Welcome to short attention span theater. When it comes to the web, people don't read long stories. 1200 words is max. A lot of what you see comes in around 800. That's not a lot to put in plot and sex and more sex. Which brings me nicely to. . .

This is always a good idea because it brings people back to your site and it prevents the "too long to read in one sitting" problem. This is also why fictionalized blogs work well, people come back each day to see the next part of the story. The key here though is each piece has to be sexy and exciting and cliff hanger into the next piece. It's not that easy.

I worked with a mistress and I wrote a blog that seemed to be her talking about training of a particular slave each day of a week. So for example, it's Frank's week and he's put through his paces Mon, Tues, Weds, each day he's subjected to some new sexy torment - climaxing (so to speak) by Friday's edition of the blog.

A great tool but time consuming to do well.
