heh cops and horses and crowds are always a recipe for disaster..
Here my mardi gras experience.. ( mind you i was fairly lit so my view is a tad tainted but )
From what i remember the crowds were packed some horses came by , it was crowded so they sort of milled out for a bit and a few girls petted the horses and some guys patted the horses rowdily and the cop didnt seem to mind , then another cop came up and said DONT TOUCH THE HORSES then the crowd sort of got tight around the horse and me and a few people were basically right beside the horse and had no choice but to kind of lean against the horse as the vrowd kind of surged one way , and this cop went apeshit , dove off his horse and tackled me to the ground punching me in the face, once one cop hops on you they all hop on you , next thing you know we are all arrested on assault charges ( but they dropped the charges and let us go at the station )
I have been around enough riot cops on horses to know not to touch the horses, girls usually get away with it , but guys tend to get rowdy and want to slap the horses
