Oh and I wouldn't ever expect to see Carnage make a movie...but I will almost guarantee that Venom will either make a full appearance at the end of this movie (judging by the black suit on Spidey) or at least there will be a teaser at the end to suggest Venom for a part 4. But remember Raimi came into this as a Trilogy. He is going to make the best 3 movies that he can..and then worry about a 4th.

 Fanboy my radioactive ass.
Venom's origin is so complex that to re-write it would move him so far out of the Marvel Universe that it would screw up continuity. The biggest lesson in failure for Hollywood has and still is: FUCKING WITH THE STORY LINES AND COSTUMES OF SUPERHERO PROPERTIES.
It NEVER fucking fails. Raimi's got two films in the top ten with Spidey and number 3 is a guaranteed shoe-in. If he does work venom in somehow it'll be amazing to see how he comes up with a new origin for the costume. Spidey has always had the most offbeat but deadliest villains. Batman had the crazies and the Fantastic Four the most dramatic. But Spidey villains would kill you. Much like the 'Legion of Superheroes'. You never knew when someone would die.
The Spidey trilogy is about Peter and Mary Jane. It's a love story trilogy set in a superhero environment. It's the biggest successful comic book to movie property because it brings the women in. Women LOVE Spidey now and guys like us who live dangerous lives can show the women in our lives why we act so weird. If they stick with us after that then we know we have the right woman.
Sure the kid in me would love to see them throw in The Scorpion, Rhino, Electro, Venom just to up the ante. Even if just for cameos so that we could see that there is a another purpose to the existence of Spider-Man and that is because the Marvels have been born into society and that balance of good and evil is spawning heroes and villains. Heck, even Kraven would be cool.
I'll keep my ear to the ground for the latest spidey news but I'm betting that pic is just a dark monochromatic pic of darkness and not a black suit.
