Wow! Almost didn't recognize that is Pomona. Haven't been there since the Winston World Finals in 1992. I'll remember that race as I almost got clobbered by a flying funny car body.
Dale Pulde was on a pass and popped the supercharger at about half track. The entire body of the car was sent flying into the air, must have gone up around 100 feet. It came down in the stands about 20 feet from me. One person got hit and got some cuts and scrapes. They took him off for some stitches, and later that day he came back to the track to watch the finals. They announced his return on the P.A. system and he got a standing ovation from the crowds. Now that's a race fan.
