K. If I understand what you mean....
Either your server is windows or unix / linux. Either way, you should be able to mount an access point to it. Windows would be something like network file sharing, windows to unix / linux would involve samba mounts. Most likely, you'll want to use FTP / SFTP & SSH, unless you're in your data center and are working directly on your server.
