How does Epassporte stay in business?
I've never met a company that frustrates me more than Epassporte, and it's a shame because it's run by good people.
Needed to pay my balance for going to the Snow Gathering next month (nothing like waiting until the last minute, sigh).
Go into my Epassporte account and try to load some fundage. Oops, can only load $1000 at a time. Oh well, Maurice knows I'll get him the balance when I get back from Costa Rica. Load $1000 (minus the $55, ack!).. had a prevous balance of $4.75 so total balance is $949.75. Go to send those funds to Funix's Epassporte account. Oops, cannot send funds from personal Epassporte accounts to business accounts. WTF? Why not?
Great, so now I've got an Epassporte account loaded with money that I never use. And I can't pay the bill that's due.
Give them a ring on the phone (bonus points for answering quickly however). Discussed my options for either overriding the ban on transfering the funds (preferable) or reversing the charges and figuring something else out. CSR says neither option is available. Escalate it to a supervisor who tells me the same thing.
They do tell me that I can transfer the money from the Epassporte account to my checking account, but that I would still pay the $55 transfer fee, plus the cash advance charges from my credit card company. So basically I would be paying $1100 to transfer $949.75 to my checking account which doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
I tell them that I really don't want to do this, but I would have to call up my credit card company and tell them that the service did not perform as specified and I would reverse the charges. They tell me that's within my right.
So basically, they'd rather me charge back than to somehow figure out a way to pay the damn bill so EVERYONE is happy.
No offense Epassporte, but I've had to deal with these stupid fucking hoops every time I've tried to deal with your company. :-/
