I can't explain how David Copperfield makes a Ferrari disappear, how Chriss Angel digs himself out of a shallow grave & coffin or how Houdini escaped from a glass tank while in chains ...
But I'm pretty sure aliens weren't involved.
Same thing with the crop circles - I can't tell you how whomever made them pulled it off, but that doesn't mean my next assumption is that aliens must have done it.
