Although their business is "questionable", it's also an oppurtunity. i.e. Maybe having them only have your content that you say they can.

The bottom line is that there is always going to be content theft and unless you hire a huge staff, there's not much anyone can do about it. Maybe trying to find ways to make it work for you would be a better option.
Again the question is asked - WHY is the onus on US (as content producers) to spent time and money on efforts to laboriously comb through all the content on Guba to ascertain how much and where our content resides?

You are correct in saying there will always be theft. That's a given. But as others have said here already, the issue is not only theft...but the fact that GFY and Playboy Enterprises are willing to flaunt and condone this theft of content in our faces.

As for "finding ways to make it work for us" - there is none. For years we've added our copyright notice, logo and URL on all our images. And yes, that serves as advertising for us. But it doesn't offset the fact that when someone has access to a mass quantity of our images via Guba's harvesting...where's the incentive for that same person to sign up to our sites as a member?

You're unmistakably arguing a losing battle here.
