You missed the part where the program owner actually goes out and posts some of their own content on the newgroups themselves. That has been a way to market your sites since forever and is no different than giving the content to the affiliates who make the TGPs etc except that the profit from the typins is 100% yours. Many small programs continue to use this technique since it's very effective.

But Guba isn't the only site to offer access to newgroups for a fee. You don't ever see anyone on here complaining about them.
I don't promote Guba and I don't support theft of content. But after having experienced sponsors not giving a shit if they're content is stolen as long as it's used to promote them and make them money, I find the hypocrisy sickening. It's all about the money and that's it.
