Because they were marketing it to the wrong crowd. i.e. porn DVDs to WMs who have a shit load of porn. Having programs buy them and give away free if a surfer joins, or marketing to surfers etc. would have been better. So Tassy's "trick" has nothing to do with the marketing of the DVD.
