I had Lasik on 11/1/01. The first night, the flap detached and it hurt like crazy. I went in the next day and they put a 'bandage' lense on my eye, and it felt fine. The other flap detached later too. They put me on some different drops, and eventually everything healed up nicely.

It has been almost a year, and my vision still fluxuates slightly on almost a daily basis. Some days my right eye sees better, the next day, the left is better. But my vision is still good.

I had some ups and downs, but overall, I am glad I got it done. I really hated glasses and contacts.

If you are extra nervous, they can increase the dosage of valium. I couldn't believe how quick the surgery itself was. When the doc said they were all done, I thought he was joking.
